Ray was reborn from a Paradise
Galleries doll sculpted by Kimberly
Durden. I bought him in 2005 and dyed
him with Rit dye back then. He is my
2nd reborn baby, and the first head I
have ever painted with GHS paints. He
is the 2nd doll I have rooted hair on.
He was rooted with dark brown
mohair with a barbed needle (from the
center of the hair). Ray is going to
have his own Cradle Board to be
displayed in, which is why I did not
paint his limbs for him. (That, and he
was really intended just to be a
practice doll - I don't like his limbs).
The first 3 pictures were taken in
natural sunlight, next 3 with a flash.

OMG! I knew this baby was bad, and his head was supposed to be just to
experiment on anyway, but... He is ugly! Overpainted, arched eyebrows, terrible
hair line. His pale face and blue lips make him look dead! And I was so proud of
him at the time, LOL! I carried him around and showed him off. How embarasing!
